These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of www.rebelsagelegal.com (the "Site"), operated by Kristina Kang, practising as Rebel Sage Legal. By using the Site, you agree tothese Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. INFORMATIONAL ONLY — NOT LEGAL ADVICE
Everything on this Site is for general information only. It is not legal advice and must not be relied on as legal advice for any specific matter. Laws change, facts matter, and what's right for one business may be wrong for yours. Always consult qualified counsel about your specific situation.
2. NO LAWYER-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP
Using this Site, contacting us, submitting an inquiry, or subscribing to The Dispatch does NOT create a lawyer-client relationship. A lawyer-client relationship is only formed once:
(a) a conflict check has been completed,
(b) a written engagement letter has been signed by both parties, and
(c) any required retainer is received.
Until then, please do not send confidential or privileged information. If you do, we cannot guarantee confidentiality and the information may not be protected by solicitor-client privilege.
3. JURISDICTIONAL SCOPE
Kristina Kang is licensed to practise law in Ontario (Law Society of Ontario) and New York (New York State). Services in British Columbia are provided on a limited basis (maximum 100 hours per year) in accordance with applicable Law Society rules. The Site is intended for visitors from these jurisdictions. We do not hold ourselves out as qualified to advise on the law of any other jurisdiction.
4. ATTORNEY ADVERTISING
Portions of this Site may constitute Attorney Advertising under the New York Rules of Professional Conduct. Prior results do not guarantee a similar outcome. Each matter is fact-specific.
5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this Site — text, graphics, logos, photographs, the "Rebel Sage Legal" name and marks, and the Insights articles — is owned by or licensed to Rebel Sage Legal and is protected by copyright and trade-mark laws. You may share links to articles and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit any content without our prior written consent.
6. ACCEPTABLE USE
You agree not to use the Site to:
♠ Violate any law or professional rule;
♠ Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or our systems;
♠ Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code;

♠ We will run a conflict check before responding substantively;
♠ We may decline the matter for any reason, including conflicts or capacity; and
♠ Information you submit will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control these sites and are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or availability. Links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute endorsement.
9. NO WARRANTIES
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Site's accuracy, completeness, timeliness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rebel Sage Legal and Kristina Kang are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including any reliance on information found here. This section does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability arising from professional negligence in a confirmed solicitor-client relationship).
11. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify Rebel Sage Legal against any claims, damages, or costs arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection laws that may apply in your jurisdiction.
13. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new Terms.
